Mark Falvey's Biography Mark Falvey has a keen understanding of sales, marketing, and international roles as his entire career has been focused on these areas. He brings over fifteen years of global recruitment, sales, and marketing experience to International Search Group. He has spent the better part of these years managing the Latin American business units in addition to other international territories/markets for some of the most prestigious lifestyle brands in the world, including the Timberland and Rockport brands. Since 2000, Falvey has worked in executive search and recruitment collaborating with numerous consumer goods and high tech companies in the placement of sales, marketing, international, operations, and general management executives.
Espanol.com
Falvey
was part of the original business development team at Espanol.com in his role
as Director of Brand and Retail Development. While there, he developed sales,
guerilla marketing, and cause related marketing strategies for the company. He
was a key contributor in marketing and operations initiatives including the selection
and negotiation of the Internet's first all-Spanish e-customer support provider.
He initiated and managed relationships with private label product suppliers including
affinity credit card, telecom, and Internet service providers. He also recruited
key individuals for technology, merchandising, and operations positions.
The Rockport Company Falvey
served as Director of International Sales for the Rockport Company. He was responsible
for managing the sales activities in Latin America, the Middle East, and South
Africa. While at Rockport, Falvey oversaw the growth of the Latin America region
to triple and double digit growth levels on an annualized basis and the South
Africa business to over 65% growth. He was instrumental in the opening of the
first Rockport store in the Middle East in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in 1997.
He was also responsible for selecting a new distributor for Mexico which resulted
in the negotiation of the opening of four Rockport stores in this market.
The
Timberland Company
Falvey
was responsible for setting up the Timberland Company's distribution network throughout
most of Latin America. While at Timberland he grew sales from $250,000 to over
$6 million dollars in three years through aggressive marketing. He also participated
in the negotiation of a multi-country agreement with one of the largest branded
distributors in Latin America. This resulted in the signing of a licensing agreement
for the Southern Cone and the opening of numerous Timberland flagship stores in
Brazil, Argentina, and Chile.
Falvey is a graduate of Georgetown University. He has lived, worked, and studied in Argentina, Venezuela, Spain, France, and Finland.
